Ingredients
Burger Patties
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Bowl Components
- 4 cups mixed greens (lettuce, spinach, kale)
- 1 cup cooked quinoa or brown rice
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 avocado sliced
- 1/4 cup burger sauce (recipe below)
Burger Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the Burger Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Gently mix until just combined. Form the mixture into four patties.
- Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C). Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Make the Burger Sauce: While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Assemble the Bowls: Divide the mixed greens and cooked quinoa (or rice) among four bowls.
- Add Toppings: Top with cooked burger patties, shredded cheddar cheese, diced red onion, sliced pickles, diced tomatoes, and sliced avocado.
- Drizzle with Sauce: Drizzle each bowl with burger sauce. Serve immediately.
