Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) salmon fillets
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp (21g) honey
  • 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (2g) dried oregano
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels to ensure a proper sear.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dried oregano.
  4. Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  5. Spoon the honey-butter glaze generously over each fillet, rubbing it into the sides. Top each fillet with a thin lemon slice.
  6. Bake on the center rack for 12–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part reaches 135°F (57°C).
  7. Remove from oven and let the salmon rest until the internal temperature rises to 145°F (63°C).
