Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170g) salmon fillets
- 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
- 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp (21g) honey
- 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp (2g) dried oregano
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels to ensure a proper sear.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dried oregano.
- Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Spoon the honey-butter glaze generously over each fillet, rubbing it into the sides. Top each fillet with a thin lemon slice.
- Bake on the center rack for 12–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part reaches 135°F (57°C).
- Remove from oven and let the salmon rest until the internal temperature rises to 145°F (63°C).
