Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (125g) creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp (3g) baking soda
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter and granulated sugar together in a medium bowl.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is glossy.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt; fold gently with a spatula until no streaks of flour remain.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a second bowl, beat softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter dough onto the brownie base or spread evenly over the top.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the edges are set and the top is golden.
