Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and black pepper in a small bowl. Note: Mix until the mustard is fully blended.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides evenly with salt. Note: Dry meat sears better and browns faster.
  3. Heat olive oil in a 12 inch skillet over medium high heat. Wait until the oil shimmers.
  4. Add chicken in a single layer. Sear for 3-5 minutes per side until a dark golden brown crust forms.
  5. Pour the Maple Mustard Glazed Chicken marinade directly over the seared meat.
  6. Lower the heat to medium immediately.
  7. Spoon the bubbling sauce over the chicken continuously for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens into a glossy syrup.
  8. Remove from heat when the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
