Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets, 6 oz each
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp ginger, grated
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets bone dry with paper towels. Note: Any water on the surface will steam the fish instead of roasting it.
- Rub the fillets with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Whisk honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl until smooth and combined.
- Place fillets on the sheet and brush half of the honey garlic glaze over the top.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes. At the 12 minute mark, brush the remaining glaze over the fillets.
- Switch oven to Broil for the final 2 minutes until the glaze bubbles and turns deep golden brown.
- Remove from oven when internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium rare or 145°F (63°C) for well done.
