Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets, 6 oz each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, grated

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets bone dry with paper towels. Note: Any water on the surface will steam the fish instead of roasting it.
  3. Rub the fillets with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Whisk honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl until smooth and combined.
  5. Place fillets on the sheet and brush half of the honey garlic glaze over the top.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes. At the 12 minute mark, brush the remaining glaze over the fillets.
  7. Switch oven to Broil for the final 2 minutes until the glaze bubbles and turns deep golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven when internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium rare or 145°F (63°C) for well done.
