Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets, approx 6 oz (170g) each
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp dried dill
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced into rounds
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Heat the oven. Set it to 400°F (200°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Note: High heat is key for a quick cook.
- Dry the fish. Use a paper towel to pat the salmon fillets completely dry. Note: This prevents the fish from steaming.
- Mix the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dried dill.
- Season the fillets. Place the salmon on the sheet and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.
- Apply the flavor. Brush the garlic butter glaze over the top of each fillet.
- Add lemon slices. Place one thin lemon slice on top of each piece of fish. Note: This protects the top from drying out.
- Bake the fish. Place on the center rack for 12–15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Check the temp. Pull the fillets out when the internal temperature hits 135°F (57°C).
- Rest and finish. Let the fish sit for 5 minutes. The temp will rise to 145°F (63°C) on its own.
- Garnish. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the top and serve.
