Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, 6 oz (170g) each, Baked Salmon Fillet with Skin
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (2g) dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) paprika

Instructions:

  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Use paper towels to pat each salmon fillet bone-dry on all sides, then place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  4. Brush the garlic-lemon rub generously over the top and sides of each fillet.
  5. Sprinkle the salt and cracked black pepper evenly over the fillets.
  6. Bake in a preheated 400°F (200°C) oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until the salmon is opaque pink and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the fillets rest for 5 minutes before serving to redistribute juices.
